How it started

After a trip to Mayaro for a family wedding in 2006 a new adventure began. What started as a quest to fulfil a craving for traditional Trinidadian foods has turned into a mission to turn the freshest UK market ingredients into fusion of Trini-British flavours.
Traditional recipes handed down to me from my maternal grandmother and my paternal aunt are reworked into a blend that's both nostalgic and fresh.
So you may ask what is unique about my jams, sauces and relishes? All ingredients are sourced from markets local to my home in South London or home grown by friends. I believe that you taste the freshness of the ingredients in each jar and draw the comfort of knowing that each step of the production is lovingly helped along by people who want the best from their efforts. I only use natural preservatives such as apple pectin and cider vinegars in my sauces. Routinely using pineapple, ginger, mangoes, pawpaw, scotch bonnett, passion fruit, limes, bananas, rum....and lots and lots of love.
